As you’ve probably noticed, Neopets now offers a system where you can buy neopoints with real money. This is the kind of thing the website Stardoll.com had originally, and it proved to be just a way to get your money, like a scam. But not like a scam where you won’t get your points, because I’m sure you would because Neopets is a trustworthy site of course, but where they’re just trying to get your money any way they can. Or in this case, your parent’s money. Remember, REAL money is MUCH more valuable than virtual money, so don’t fall for this. Earn your points if it’s that important to you (using all my guides and cheats on my site of course!), but just don’t spend real dollars on it.

This is incorrect. You are not buying NP, you are buying Neocash that can only be used in the NC Mall.

If you have a faerie quest and you’re not allowed to go on shop wizard, if you have another account you can trade the item from that account on to the account you have a quest on. You might get something from the faerie, and it doesn’t take any effort whatsoever.
Make sure you don’t run out of time!

This is a ridicilous statement. NeoCash has nothing to do with NeoPoints.
You have no clue about Neopets yet you give advice to other people? And from the looks of it this whole website is filled with “cheats” that not only don’t work but will get people frozen.
You can by NeoCash with real money yes, but you can only spend it in the NC Mall on backgrounds and clothing for your pets. Those items cannot be sold to other users, they are just for you. It has NOTHING to do with Neopoints.
Okay, I’ve been working with something lately and Found that Coltan’s shrine is based on a time scheduale that resets ever 10 minutes. The hour doesn’t matter and the ten minute slot doesn’t matter, it’s the 1 minute slot that really does

These are the ones I figured out but I haven’t tried 9, 2, 4 or 5 yet. But I know 1 and six usually don’t give licks unless they decide to swich it up like they do everynow and then, but this is almost constant so have fun

Hey everyone….just wanted to give some encouragement to those that might be discouraged about the whole NeoCash deal. I have been playing the game for about 6 years now, and I spend a great deal of my time there playing games to earn points.
Neopets is still FREE to play, and you can earn points without paying real cash for them, so if you don’t want to spend money on NeoCash, then don’t! There is an ad floating around the site, and if you click on it, you’ll get 150 free NeoCash dollars (the ad will say something about free NeoCash). I clicked on it, got mine, and got a couple of things with it. I don’t, however, plan to spend any real money on the game!
So for those worrying about the whole NeoCash deal, don’t worry so much. I don’t pay any attention to it, and I’m still having fun with everything else. And hey, if you want to make some good neopoints, pick out some games you can do really well, figure out the minimum score you need to get 1,000 points, then play those games 3 times a day and you’ll get 3k for every game you play! I get at least 20k every day just playing games!
Sites like this and others will help you figure out different games, show you where the freebies are, and so forth. Just be smart about it, put your bank and shop to good use, and you’ll do just fine!

I keep hearing things about how Neopets is “stealing” our money, or how the NeoCash thing is a “scam.” It seems like any time someone asks for money these days, people immediately scream “SCAM!”
Think about it, guys. Neopets is a HUGE site with TONS of content, and they have a PAID STAFF that runs it every day. They have to have some kind of financial support. I, for one, am just thankful that they don’t run tons of outside ads all the time, or have pop-ups.
The NeoCash deal is a way for them to directly support the site. They ARE a business, after all, and their revenue has to come from somewhere.
And, like I’ve said, you don’t have to buy the NeoCash. You can just keep playing (it’s FREE!) for your neopoints and such. Just have fun and don’t worry so much about the stuff you don’t want or can’t have.
By the way, if any of you know a good guild or just want another neofriend, come find me! Do a lookup on pipermouse and you’ll find me!

I have to agree. It is a waste of money, but not a scam, like some people think. Neopets has to make money some way…but sometimes it is way overpriced and useless. And Key Quest is another way to waste money–buying plushies for a game.

Okay, about the Expellibbox, I once got the scarab in the tube, (no cheating either) and guees what happened, I got 1 neopoint. The Expellibox is a lie when it comes to Neocash (which, if you want any, you have to pay REAL $$ for).

Do not, repeat, do NOT give anyone your username, e-mail and birthday. That’s how these cheaters tell Neopets they lost their password, and they’ll re-send the password, which then gives the cheater access to your account. You will not receive anything from them but a cleaned-out account.
You scammers ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Time to do some reporting on you guys.
By the way, you cannot transfer NC Mall items bought with NeoCash. They must stay in your account. NeoCash is only for NC Mall items and is bought with real money. Neopoints are not ever for sale, and the rules state that anyone trying to sell NP for real money will be frozen. You cannot steal valid NeoCash cards from the store because they have to be activated at the register at the time of purchase. Read the daily news, the Neopian Times and the rules on the site to familiarize yourself on how these things work.
And, NeoCash IS given away by the Qasalan Expellibox. I won some from it myself. It’s extremely rare, however.
There are some items that you can use to customize your neopet that are NP items which, like all other NP items, can be bought, sold and traded. These are different from NC Mall items. Neoitems.net has an item database where you can look these things up.

Oh please, it’s a game. A lot of games do this when they get really big and have to deal with things like expensive servers. Neopets is HUGE, and the way they can be is by making money to balance it out. That means advertising and promotions that cost money.
If you don’t like it, don’t use it, but don’t whine about it either. It isn’t a “scam,” it’s the way things work. Get over it.
Sure you can steal NC cards, but they’re not worth anything. If the card is not purchased, than it’s not activated, which means it cannot be redeemed on the website. So for the idiot who recommends stealing them, try explaining that to the person who gets caught stealing for what translates into an empty gift card.

Can you guys not type? sheesh.. neopoints and neocash are different. neopoints you can get from games and buy most items on neopets. neocash is real money and you can only buy things in the nc mall with neocash. you cant find any nc mall items in the shop wizard either. THE ONLY WAY TO GET NEOCASH WITHOUT PAYING REAL MONEY IS THE EXPELLIBOX. Which can be found in the nc mall. you get 150 NC for hitting the blinking light at the bottom with your scarab that you drop. You can try once a day for free. And you usually end up gettting neopoints as a prize. from 2000 to 100 np. but beware. there are 2 skull faces your scarab can hit. which will give you REPTILLIORITUS which is a disease your pets get. the cure is CACTOPUSS CREAM which costs over 1 MILLION NEOPOINTS. so be ware if you do do the expellibox. if you dont mind your pet sick. It will cure itself eventually though. I got raptillioritus on my kougra and it healed itself in a month or so.
